Brian Senior serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer of the United States Mint, joining in November 2020.
Brian came to the Mint from the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) where he served as the Strategic Planning and Continuous Process Improvement manager for the Navy’s Enterprise Business Solutions portfolio.
Previously, Brian was Section Chief, Strategy and Planning for the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) at the IRS where he was responsible for Governance, Risk Management, Release Planning, Enterprise Lifecycle Management, Audit Management, IT Business Case Reporting, and all program internal and external Communications.
Prior to his federal service, Brian worked as a Senior Systems Engineer and Global IT Manager in the entertainment industry for Universal Studios, Universal Music, and 20th Century Fox.
Brian holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in the Management of Information Systems, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, and an associate’s degree in Nuclear Technology.
He also holds many industry and federal certifications, several of which include: Senior Level Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM); Defense Acquisition Program Management – Level III; Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Microsoft Certified System Engineer + Internet (MCSE + I); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); and most recently, Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME).
Brian is a proud Navy veteran and served as a nuclear-trained Electrician’s Mate 1st Class – EM1(SS) on USS Silversides (SSN 679), a fast attack submarine based out of Norfolk, Virginia.
Brian lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Tamar and son Stevie.
