Anthony Simpson joined the U.S. Mint Police as deputy chief in December 2023. He comes to the Mint from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), where he served as the Deputy Inspector of the Strategic Services Branch for the BEP Police. He brings more than 30 years of distinctive law enforcement and leadership experience in training, operations, recruiting, and logistics.
Deputy Chief Simpson served as a local police officer for 10 years and served five years of active duty in the United States Army prior to joining the Army Reserves. He currently serves as Command Sergeant Major and Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Commanding General of the Training Division for the Army Reserves.
Deputy Chief Simpson holds an Associate’s degree in criminal justice and a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, as well as a Master’s of Science in strategic intelligence from the National Intelligence University.
