Commander John P. Brawdy is a native of Syracuse, New York and presently serves as the Director of Operations and Training for the Protection Directorate. Prior to his current assignment, John served as the Field Chief of Police at the West Point Mint from April, 2014 until July, 2020.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Army in 2011, John served as the Director of Operations and Training for the G4S Nuclear Security Services. During his tenure with G4S, John was responsible for the overall direction of tactical consulting, comprehensive physical security assessments and defensive strategies for various commercial/domestic nuclear power facilities.
While serving with the U.S. Army, John culminated his military career as an Operations Sergeant Major for the United States Army Special Operations Command (HQ USASOC), and as the Provost Marshal Sergeant Major for the 82nd Airborne Division. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration/Management from Excelsior College and a graduate certificate in Homeland Security from American Military University.
John is a 2017 recipient of the Rittenhouse Award for Excellence in Supervisory Leadership, and a recent graduate of the FBI’s National Academy for senior law enforcement executives.
