Fort Knox Bullion Depository
Kaleena Struebing currently serves as the Inspector at the U.S. Bullion Depository in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She joined the U.S. Mint in 2016 and has served as a police officer at both the West Point, New York and Denver, Colorado facilities. At the Denver Mint she also held the position of sergeant before her transfer to Kentucky. Here at Fort Knox, she was promoted to lieutenant in June 2022 and served as the alternate timekeeper, the management representative on the Collateral Duty Committee, and key control program manager.
Inspector Struebing’s law enforcement career began as a military police officer with the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division. She completed two combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan and one peacekeeping deployment to Djibouti, Africa. Inspector Struebing served as a military police investigator at Fort Campbell, KY during her last year on active duty. She was later hired by the Department of the Army at Fort Knox, KY. Additionally, she served in the Army Reserves as a physical security specialist with the 11th Aviation Command at Fort Knox.
Inspector Struebing holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland. She is also a recipient of the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy Award focusing on Supervisor, Command, and Executive leadership training throughout the ranks in a police organization.
