Background
The U.S. Olympic Flag Bearer Gold Five Dollar coin was released in 1996 to support the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games and the programs of the United States Olympic Committee. It features a design of athletes from every country bearing their respective national flags as they enter the Olympic Stadium.
