Background
The 2016 American Liberty Silver Medal shares the same design as the 2015 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin. The obverse design depicts a new modern rendition of the figure of Liberty that evokes the ideals of liberty, courage, and hope. On the reverse, an eagle grips an olive branch as an embodiment of freedom.
