2019 American Liberty High Relief Silver Medal™
Background
The 2019 American Liberty High Relief Silver Medal is the counterpart to the 2019 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin. They are part of the American Liberty Gold Coin and Silver Medal Program. The program features modern renditions of the iconic figure of Liberty.
This medal contains 99.9 percent fine silver and weighs 2.500 troy ounces. It is the first 2.5-ounce medal ever produced by the U.S. Mint.
Characteristics
The obverse (heads) features Liberty with 13 rays of light emanating along her headdress, symbolizing the free and creative spirit of America's people.
The reverse (tails) features a bald eagle as it prepares to land.
