Artistic Infusion Program
Robert Kraiza is a tattoo artist and illustrator from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Drawing non-stop since he was a small child, he dreamed of being a professional artist. Robert is a graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a degree in media arts and animation. A car accident and a long recovery just before graduation caused him to shift gears and focus again on traditional skills.
He worked as a fine artist and freelance illustrator for 10 years working primarily in watercolor, pen and ink, and sculpture. Robert has been displayed in multiple galleries across the country and exhibited five solo shows since 2007. His work has been featured in art publications including Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, and Beautiful Bizarre. In 2016, he began his tattoo apprenticeship. He currently works at True Hand Society, a tattoo and graphic design studio located in a renovated 150-year-old church.
Drawing inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, the Victorian era, and the history of his hometown of Philadelphia, Robert creates tattoos and illustrations of the human figure, flora, and fauna with intricate framing. Robert creates large-scale whimsical illustrative works that are designed to fit the shape of the body in both color and black and grey neotraditional style.
