President Nixon has appointed Mrs. Mary Brooks, Director of the Mint, to the President’s commission on School Finance.
Mrs. Brooks was nominated by Secretary of the Treasury John B. Connally to represent the Department of the Treasury on the Commission. The Commission is studying revenue needs and resources for the nation’s elementary and secondary schools.
Mr. Neil H. McElroy of Cincinnati, Ohio, is chairman of the 16 member Commission.
